Privacy

Last updated: August 2026

Inksign is built around a simple principle: your documents and keys stay on your machine. That principle shapes this site too.

The short version

  • No cookies. No analytics. No tracking. This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
  • The verifier runs in your browser. When you check a signed PDF at /v, the file is read and verified entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
  • No accounts, no forms. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the site or the verifier.

What is unavoidably processed

The site is served by our hosting provider (Vercel). Like any website, incoming requests include technical data such as your IP address and browser user-agent, which the host processes transiently to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile you, and we don't combine it with anything else.

Downloads are hosted on GitHub Releases. When you download Inksign, that request is handled by GitHub under its own privacy policy.

The desktop app

The Inksign application itself is local-first: signing happens on your machine, your private keys never leave it, and the app sends no telemetry. Nothing you sign is transmitted to us.
