How verification works
An Inksign signature is a PAdES signature embedded in the PDF. Proving it means three checks against the document itself: the cryptographic signature is intact, it covers the whole file, and the signer's certificate matches the fingerprint the QR vouches for. All three run right here in your browser. The document never leaves your machine.
What this does not (yet) tell you is trust: whether the signer's certificate is issued by a recognized or legally-qualified authority. That trust-list check is a separate layer we're building next.
